Devon, Glorious Devon. The saying is quite true, you will notice the peace and tranquility as you approach our riverside hotel nestling in the Taw Valley. Williamson made the area and a certain clever otter famous and we are surrounded by the beauty of the Tarka Trail. Slow down as you sweep down the drive, the old red fox may be crossing over to the blue bell wood, we rather like him even though he is a bit of a rouge with the ducklings! The Hotel with its' three old 'threepenny bit' towers was once a Victorian coaching Inn. Unwind in our lovely bar or head to the Garden Terrace overlooking the wooded valley where copper beech, Douglas Fir and ash provide the backdrop to this 'little bit of heaven'. Devon produces some of the best ingredients and we put the local bounty to good use in our award winning bar and restaurant menus. Indeed, the food is so fresh you might see the chef's head bobbing past the window as he cuts the herbs for your chosen dish.
