The hotel dominates the skyline of this historic area of Pilton. In 1807 the distinctive Georgian frontage was added to the original seventeenth century house which still exists to the rear of the property. It was given the name of Yeo Dale in the early 1900s whilst in the ownership of William Pyke Gammon of Rawle, Gammon and Baker - the timber merchants across the River Yeo. In 1935 the house became a private hotel, and remains to this day a house of great character and fine workmanship. Inside, many of the original Georgian features are retained, including ornate plaster ceilings and a façade boasting a grand balcony and stucco embellishments. The hotel has been lovingly restoring the hotel aiming to provide good quality and good value accommodation.
