With a history spanning almost 400 years, the Old Kings Head can claim to be one of the oldest buildings in the unspoilt Charter Town of Broughton-in-Furness (Cumbrian Village of the Year 2002). Only a short drive from Coniston Water, Wordsworth's Duddon Valley & Wainwright's Southern Fells, this Family run Inn offers Guests a warm welcome in comfortable surroundings and makes an ideal base for discovering the outstanding beauty, bustling market towns and rich cultural heritage of the Southern Lake District. The Hotel has a spacious bar including a dining area and a lounge with a real fire. The bar provides a range of cask-conditioned ales as well as a fine selection of wines & spirits. For guests we have a comfortable residents’ lounge, off the main bar area. Outside is a beer garden for sunny days and a children's play area where the kids can burn off some energy and you can get some peace & quiet!
